THEatre Employment Referral SERVICE is a
database of theatre professionals seeking work as teachers, directors,
performers, designers, and technical and front of house staff, designed to
provide employers with a ready pool of qualified applicants. Individuals submit
information that is developed, using a standard format, into a condensed vita
for each person. This includes the persons name, address and phone number,
highest degree held or expected and year received, degree granting institution,
skills ranked in order of competency, years of experience, availability, email
addresses and personal web site information.
- Employers can tap into the applicant pool simply by identifying the
skill(s) and qualifications for the position they wish to fill. THEatre SERVICE
will conduct an informed search to provide a condensed vita for each person
that meets the criteria selected. Employers can then contact candidates from
the pool directly.
- Employers interested in THEatre Employment Referral SERVICE should contact
THEatre SERVICE to discuss procedures and fees.
- Individuals wishing to join the applicant pool should email THEatre
SERVICE for an enrollment packet.
THEatre Conference Employment SERVICE - TCES
is a computerized system listing jobs, posting resumes and
scheduling interviews at theatre conferences. Employment ranges from full-time
professional to summer theatre, internships and graduate assistantships. Job
type is directly related to the conference demographics.
- Employers participating in TCES may interview a large pool of highly
qualified applicants at prearranged times designed for your convenience. We
schedule all interviews and regularly provide you with applicant names and
appointment updates. Candidates are sent to you with job description in hand,
prepared to discuss their qualifications for the position. Condensed vita
indexed by applicant skills and complete credentials files are available for
review.
- Applicants seeking employment meet with the TCES staff using the
computerized information network to review job postings and schedule
interviews. You will be given a copy of your interview schedule showing the
employer, interview time and place, along with a complete job description for
each position. Your condensed vita and credentials are made available to
employers.
- Contact THEatre SERVICE for TCES registration materials.
